Pin piece to be appliqued in place as in #1. Trim as you go to within 1/8-1/16" . Trim only ½" or so at a time as in #2. With your needle, sweep under to seam line. Attach using very small hem or blind stitches as in #3. Continue in this manner (trim,turn and stitch) until entire piece is attached.
