Sewing a Star Block

Using ¼" SA., stitch 2 sections of the star patches to within the ¼" SA of corners. (Called a floating seam). This will allow you to connect the corner and triangle sections.
Set in corner square as in Fig.1.

Repeat as in Fig.1 and connect the 4 star sections. Fig.2

Insert the triangle as in Fig.3.

Repeat until you have 2 completed star sections. Using the ¼" SA. and floating seams as before, connect the 2 section as in Fig.4

Complete by inserting triangles as in illustration at the top of this page.
Note: you will have a tiny hole in the center . Fig.5

To close the hole, insert threaded needle into the very tip of one setion, and exiting out of the tip of the next. Continue until all the sections have been threaded and draw the thread until the hole is closed. Knot in back to secure.
